ResourcesWhat we provide the do it yourself deer hunter is the all important land resource, recommendations where to deer hunt to get him jump started and a lodging listing near our lease land. This leaves the hunter just to hunt. That alone may seem simple enough, however consider these points. Deer hunts regardless of the quality of our recommendations of where to start the hunt, will always require the hunter put in scouting time. Doing so will gain him knowledge of and stands prepared on typically two to four farms he will want to hunt hard. [It has been for a long time that the stand hunter over the still hunter that has harvested the highest and most recurring trophy success.] On return trips that same hunter will be disappointed by some of the farms he walks on and some will be better than he has seen before. Soon that hunter will have more knowledge of more farms that have success potential than he will have time to hunt. At this point that hunter may start to concentrate on matching the habitat, season of the rut and his deer hunting style to enhance success. Deer hunting success is more on the out years than that first deer hunting season. That same self guided deer hunter may return for years to come to the same previously hunted leases as well as explore new land to keep the cycle going. Doing so in Kansas, Missouri and Iowa makes for plenty of deer hunting opportunity. That last part of scouting new trophy whitetail deer hunting land is no small point as the land itself does not remain the same. Farming practices shift, land gets sold or other impacts cause the deer hunter with several farms with developed stand locations never to be caught short of a well known deer hunting spot or several regardless of changes.
