To the MAHA staff,
Wanted to thank everyone for another successful spring turkey season.
My goal is always an attempt to harvest one mature tom. This year it took me two days and I enjoyed every minute in the woods. The weather was perfect and I had plenty of birds to work with.
The ridge I was hunting was holding three gobblers, 6 to 8 jakes and at least a half dozen hens. They were staying together so it was an all or none hunt. I had a close opportunity the first morning but I think a deer snorting down wind kept them out of range. The second morning at least 6 jakes came straight to my decoy with the tom in the photo trailing them. I never saw or heard another hunter.
Thanks for everything.
Sincerely, Bob
