Mid-America Hunting Association makes it possible for the average hunter to hunt Kansas private land. More importantly we make Kansas private land hunts possible for the do it yourself hunter that seeks hunts across a range of Kansas options of Mule and Whitetail Deer; Eastern and Rio Grande Turkey; pheasant and quail and waterfowl.

Our Kansas lease land is a means to avoid public land hunter mentality and the strings attached to an individual lease.

Kansas has long been the destination of pheasant and trophy Whitetail Deer hunters and it is growing in popularity amongst turkey and quail hunters. While Kansas has huntable populations of Mule Deer, Bobwhite Quail and turkeys, both Eastern and Rio Grande, these disciplines have not brought the lease type attention as has Whitetail Deer. And, Kansas does deserve its trophy Whitetail Deer status. The benefit of our approach is much land in a variety of Kansas' regions to include multiple deer management units giving increased tag draw potential.

Whitetail Deer

The cause for private lease land of course is money, not just that spent on a Kansas leases, but that deer hunters are predisposed to spend money in pursuit of their trophy whitetail in Kansas and elsewhere.

Of these lease or pay to hunt hunters, there are two basic categories. The first is that which depends on the guide service that often accompanies a small acreage lease operation around 25,000 acres and frequently less. This hunter wants it all and all of it easy. A lodge with meals provided, stands placed and of course the trophy whitetail as quickly as possible.

The other category of Kansas deer hunter is the self guided deer hunter that lacks the desired private land resource and already has learned to shy away from public lands. This hunter frequently seeks out a guide service or his own lease probably a ½ section or 320 acres. This action revolves around that these are the most commonly read about approaches in hunter magazines presenting articles of deer lease systems or highlighting a guide service or semi guided private lease land operation.

In the case of MAHA private land lease approach, ours is rarely written about. We do not allow any type of commercial activities on our lease land and we do not offer free hunts in exchange for an article – an offer we get regularly. What we offer the self guided hunter is that valuable resource of private land we lease for our own use. No guides, no stands placed, no lodge, just hunts on private lease land contracted for our exclusive use.
