Most that hunt Iowa quail would not drive past any lease where this mixture of cover and crop exists.
These pictures may appear to be limited in huntable habitat. That perception is false as this one farm is a 640 acre section of recurring such habitat probably making it more ground to hunt than the average hunter of a single dog would cover. Not all farms are that size and many 80 and 160 acre tracts with similar habitat are as desirable through making the day's time cut up into shorter hunts rather than one long one. |
