Private land Hunting

Mid-America Hunting Association leases the private land for exclusive membership use. Members simply hunt without any administrative responsibilities.

Iowa hunting lease land map showing acreage by county where we have private land acreage available to our membership.

Before we sign any Iowa hunting Lease we physically drive or walk it to ensure the lease has the habitat that produces good hunts.

As we are not a guide service with a lodge we are not limited to the driving distance to lease land around that lodge, we make all of the state available to us and select the region that will give us the best return for our money. The benefit to the hunter is that we have done the research and do have the right habitat within the right region of every state where we have land.

Iowa hunting lease land in south central Iowa on the Grand River Watershed is for deer, turkey, and upland bird, for do it yourself hunts. This region is composed of wooded creek bottoms on lightly rolling terrain that cut through large grain crop fields connecting many small and medium sized wood patches.

On a land run we found this.

We get to see a lot with our year round exposure to the land we lease and the land we seek to lease.

Whitetail Deer

Deer hunts are in is zones 4 and 5. All of our land is available for muzzleloader, archery and shotgun seasons. Each hunter will resave an individually numbered farm and hunt that farm alone. No one hunter is limited to just one farm. After he scouts or hunts he should have two or more with stands to pick and choose from day to day of where to hunt.

Iowa muzzleloader deer hunters have the opportunity to hunt outside of the rut from late December into January.

Iowa bow hunters enjoy peak rut season before gun season.

Being a shotgun deer hunting state makes many believe more Iowa large racked deer survive the season allowing for more eyes on and better trophy potential than other states.

Each Iowa deer trip allows the hunter the entire range of our Iowa hunting leases to select from of where to deer hunt. That deer hunter may hunt from one or multiple numbered private land Iowa farms and does so without competition from others. In each case of our deer lease land it is available through a system that insures efficient use of time.

Each Iowa deer hunter is encouraged to seek our recommendations where to deer hunt his first season, travel out to scout and then simply deer hunt every hour he has available to do so. In every case we will develop reasonable deer hunter expectations and never oversell the difficulty of a deer hunt. In short, each hunter will have a good deer hunting plan before leaving home for that first trip.

Our Iowa land also boarders up against Missouri's four point one side restriction zone.

Iowa Hunter Feedback

Have a look at our success galleries of pictures and that of the deer hunter testimonial sections that include Iowa hunter letters that will give any reviewer a variety of perspectives about what we offer.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect about any of the success pictures on this website is they are provided to us through the courtesy of our hunters. As a do it yourself or self guided hunter organization we are not at the point of harvest with a camera and organizational logo.
