The choices are several when searching for hunting guides. Hunters can choose to hunt with a Missouri hunting guide, go public land hunting, knock on doors for private land or take advantage of a pay to hunt organization that caters solely to the hunter that can hunt on his own and does not need a hunting guide. We are Mid-America Hunting Association and the choice for those hunters that seek productive habitat, in the right region of the state for what they want to hunt, private land to hunt without competition and most desired, the natural game to pursue and do so without a hunting guide. That is our distinction when talking about hunting guides. We provide the private land and guidance where to hunt without hunting guides for the hunter that can hunt on his own. A Missouri hunting guide contrasts dramatically to our organization. A hunting guide is for a limited amount of time, on limited acreage, for an animal specific hunt and on the guide's schedule. Mid-America Hunting Association does not limit the days other than those set by state and federal regulations, allows hunting for any animal legal to hunt in Missouri plus that in Kansas and Iowa and has more acreage to hunt than any hunter can hunt in a lifetime. It all comes down to a choice between betting on the hunting guide being a better hunter than the client hunter or the real hunter that seeks the opportunity to hunt as he sees fit without the encumbrance of a guide of unknown background.
Hunting guides do have their place and in Missouri they have value for gaining access to land and conducting scouting for those that cannot do it for their selves. They are also valuable for special skills requirements as turkey or duck calling. Outside of those hunters requiring those services there remains a greater majority of hunters that have the confidence and skill to conduct their own scouting and hunts. That is where we come in. We service the real hunter that wants to get to the right place for what he is after and have the opportunity for a good hunt. The hunter's confidence in us that we will provide a good hunt without guides is based in our motivation to secure that hunter's recurring annual membership rather than as a hunting guide that typically seeks a hunter for only one hunt and then expects other clients to fill next year's schedule. The remainder of this website covers each of the 7 hunting interests and well as the three states where we lease land. Each link will provide increasingly greater detail of a more narrow range until all there is to know about the quality of hunting that is available to the hunter is known. If after reading this website the hunter requires a hunting guide there are many that any simple internet search will reveal. For those that want to hunt on their own we will give that opportunity over thousands of acres of private land for a multitude of seasons that will simply provide the hunter with more hunting opportunity than any hunting guide will be able to match.
