Scouting

Scouting is by reservation.

All scouting is on foot, no scouting from ATVs, trucks, horses or any other conveyance other than on foot. Glassing from the public roads is permissible.

Scouting may be prohibited from properties scheduled to be hunted within a week after the desired scouting trip. Example. During spring turkey season scouting is prohibited on our prime turkey hunting properties. The intent is to not pressure the birds before they are hunted. The same is true for our prime whitetail properties.

Quail covey tracks through fresh snow. One of the following quail took to flight.

Motion camera picture.

Sent in from a scouting trip: "Even though they are not exactly matched I found these laying one on top of the other so we assume they are from the same deer.

The floor tiles are 16 inch squares for comparison. Not an overly large rack, but impressive mass for a six point. In the picture that I'm holding the rack in my hand gives a better example of the mass on this rack. As you know I am not a small guy and when I wrapped my fingers around the main beam I was impressed. My partner, who will remain nameless due to his absolute lack of luck both deer and shed hunting, was surprised when I told him these antlers will make good chew bones for the dogs. Compared to the other sheds I found in previous years these are on the small side of what I would carry out of the field. Thanks for the great land, Harry."
